Jas has worked with Barbican Theatre Plymouth and South Asian Society as the lead consultant for "Cultural brokerage" program run by Asian Arts Agency and funded by Arts Council England. Project's strategic aim was to support mainstream art venues and community organisations to develop and build sustainable cultural partnerships to work towards arts development and creating an ongoing legacy.
So far the project has resulted programming one theatre performance, dance workshops, production of an outdoor Cultural Olympiad event at Plymouth in July 2009 but the biggest outcome and breakthrough is the development of the first ever Plymouth Mela in 2010. Jas and Asian Arts Agency would be supporting the artistic and creative development of Plymouth Mela 2010.
